She would like to make it clear that she has neither accepted nor declined Mr. Delaware's offer to run with him for the presidency. She is surprised to see that Mr. Delaware has extended this offer to three new candidates.

Nelson-Jefferson worked her way up from the position of clerk in a small accident claim agency to become the only woman nominated three times to the US Supreme Court. She was selected "Woman of the Year" in 1999.
